It has since come to my attention that the iPhone does indeed have GSM. So I stand corrected. However it will still be way out of my price range when it's eventually launched over here at the end of the year, and even though my mobile network O2 apparently got the iPhone contract, I'm not about to switch from prepay just for a phone, even if it is pretty cool.
That battery business is still bugging me a bit, though. It's one thing to hand over my iPod for a battery replacement, but an entirely different thing to hand over my life. I mean my phone.
